The 2025 Nanjing Half Marathon, an A1-class event certified by the Chinese Athletics Association, will be held on March 26, 2025, in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. The race is organized by the Nanjing Municipal People’s Government, with co-ordination by the Nanjing Sports Bureau and the Jianye District People’s Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Mom, are we running by Xuanwu Lake or the riverside trail this time?” I adjusted her race bib at the starting line of Nanjing Olympic Sports Center. The early spring air carried a familiar chill, this was where we’d run our first half marathon together two years ago. Today, we’d rediscover the city through our running shoes.<\/p>\n\n\n

At the 10K mark near Zhonghua Gate’s ancient city wall, Mom suddenly pointed at the bricks. “Look! We took our photo here last year.” Memories flooded back, last time I’d helped her to the medical tent when she cramped; this time we wordlessly pulled out energy gels at the same moment. For the final stretch down-lined boulevards, our gloved hands stayed clasped through the falling leaves.<\/p>\n\n\n

The clock read 2:22 as we crossed the finish six minutes faster than before. Wiping sweat, Mom gasped: “Next spring, full marathon?” I grinned, knowing Nanjing had etched our story into its streets with two perfect race routes.<\/p>\n\n\n
